The Unified Social Registry (USR) aims to establish a repository of households and its members in Somalia. The USR data repository will enable social programmes and interventions to determine eligibility, facilitate inclusion, and enable intra-programme coordination of benefits. The USR facilitates a common registration gateway for social protection programmes to adopt and leverage a uniformed and systematic approach. The USR will enable government to support programs through simplified and common registration and enrolment mechanisms. For instance, relevant government institutions will have the flexibility to draw from a list of eligible beneficiaries and make their own decisions regarding program enrolment - simplifying registration and enrolment mechanisms.
